  27. Jef Poskanzer's PBMPLUS source code is available from several FTP sites,
  28. none of which I have at hand at the moment.  It loads and saves both IFF
  29. and YUV.  Judging by the source, it correctly handles the special case
  30. of an 8-bit IFF that has no color map.  This is what LW saves for Alpha
  31. channel images, and a surprising number of commercial programs fail to
  32. interpret these as grayscale images.
